i am using a BCD996XT scanner.
when listinging to virtually all other P25 systems (or conventional) the audio is clear and correct regardless of signal strength etc. when i stop at McHenry "local" the audio is about every 10th word received or worse - kind of sounds like a weak digital "cell" phone signal about to be dropped. control information is being received correctly as the radio will follow traffic to the next freq etc.
perhaps they still have some bugs in this relatively new system? could it be digital agc related?
if anyone could offer advice i'd appreciate it.
