Do you know if this was a charter greyhound bus or a private greyhound bus? Also,do you know if it were random people from Sac on the bus or a band or something? Im asking because I live in Sac and have lots of family and friends and I want to make sure that no one I know was on it..Please update when you get a chance..Thanks

Now five reported dead, with a couple dozen injuries.

Looks like they are working the logistics out on how to get everybody injured to an area hospital.

BC-California Bus Crash, 2nd Ld-Writethru,0315
Bus overturns in northern California, killing 10
Eds: UPDATES with police saying 10 now dead, CORRECTS that bus is
not Greyhound bus; UPDATES with crash details.
WILLIAMS, Calif. (AP) - A charter bus en route to a casino
overturned in north-central California on Sunday, killing 10 people
and injuring several others.
California Highway Patrol officials said the crash happened
around 6:10 p.m. on a rural road near the town of Williams - about
60 miles north of Sacramento - as the bus headed to Colusa Casino
Resort from Sacramento.
California Highway Patrol Commander Fran Clader said Sunday
night that 10 people were dead and estimated that 20 to 30 others
were injured.
CHP dispatcher Terry Troth said the bus ran off the road and
rolled over. No other vehicles appeared to be involved in the
crash, he said.
Troth did not know the extent of the injuries, but he said the
victims were being transported to several area hospitals, including
Colusa Regional Medical Center and Enloe Medical Center in Chico.
Firefighters used flashlights to search the tall grass near the
overturned bus, which lay in a ditch, Sunday night for more
possible bodies. The bus, which was covered in mud, had a crumpled
roof and broken windows.
Laura Hennum, a spokeswoman at Enloe Medical Center, told The
Sacramento Bee that four patients in critical condition and two
with serious injuries had been admitted.
Troth said emergency responders were having trouble
communicating with the passengers because many of them were of
Laotian descent.

Didn't see it in the last update:

Other news outlets are saying it was NOT Greyhound, but a private charter. Some speculation the bus might have Greyhound logos from prior to the sale, but not operated by them.

Just passing on what I read elsewhere.

*edit* Oops. I see it now up at the beginning.

WILLIAMS, Calif. (AP) - Police say the driver of a casino-bound
charter bus that crashed and killed eight people is in critical
condition and faces charges of driving under the influence.
The California Highway Patrol is identifying the driver as
52-year-old Quintin Watts of Stockton. Officers say they're
investigating whether prescription or nonprescription drugs, or
alcohol, were involved in Sunday's crash. They said it could be a
combination.
Watts was arrested based on observations a witness made before
the crash.
The bus did not have seat belts, the patrol said.
Officers are trying to determine the bus owner, but said based
on a preliminary investigation, they're looking into a company
called Cobbs Bus Service.

SACRAMENTO -- Authorities arrested a bus driver on suspicion of drunk driving early today in the aftermath of a horrific crash on a rural Colusa County roadway that left eight casino-bound passengers dead and 35 others injured.

Quintin Joey Watts, 52, of Stockton was arrested at a nearby hospital where he had been taken with critical injuries, said Officer Bob Kays, a California Highway Patrol spokesman.

"I don't think it can get much worse than this," Kays said, describing the carnage that left the charter bus a crumpled mass of metal sitting in a farmer's rice field.

Kays said an initial review by CHP investigators indicated that Watts did not have the proper license or certification to drive a commercial bus, and that the vehicle itself did not appear to be properly registered.

Watts was driving northbound on a two-lane country road, ferrying a full load of passengers from Sacramento to nearby Colusa Casino when the accident took place early Sunday evening.

An off-duty sheriff's deputy heading in the opposite direction saw the crash, Kays said
