MDT in North Dallas

Any one know of any Basic MDT in use in north Dallas area, Dallas Area or North of Dallas.
I would like to test out my setup.

what do you mean "basic MDT"? If you're talking about mobile data terminals then you're out of luck! The network that the terminal is linked to is always usually encrypted and therfore you must have a user name and password. not to mention you would need a VRM to facilitate the transmission of information to and from the network.... Its never that easy and is especially illegal if you dont have permission.... BUt to answer your question. Yes, there are a large number of agencies that use MDT's Dallas, Irving, Frisco Etc.

Those are teh computers that officers have that get information about calls from dispatch?

I've wondered how those are linked up.

Just fyi, it is illegal in the state of Texas to monitor MDT traffic. A law was put on the state books several years back due to an individual in Houston grabbing HPD accident dispatches from their MDT system and forwarding them to wrecker drivers via pagers.
