What is the cheapest and easiest way to measure the power emitted from an antenna ? The frequency is 2.4GHz and the antenna is omnidirectional.

Well lets say that your radio is putting 10 watts out and your antenna has a db gain of 3db

For every 3db = 1 S Unit which in turns means for every 3db of gain you have you double your power

10W to a 3DB Antenna = 20Watts Radiated Power out of the antenna.

Your forgetting about coax loss. To the OP, is the antenna yours? If so the easiest way is to put a watt meter inline.

Right of course antenna loss but if you hook up a power meter inline its only going to read what the radio output is... not the effective radiated output by the gain of the antenna.
