Know of any different NACs being used on any of these channels? Have you tried running kNACk?

Well seeing I dont know what your talking about, No. I have been listening to scanners for years but have only had a digital scanner since the new year.

My scanners are never turned off and I have lots of time for fooling around so maybe I can provide you with some info if you tell me what to do.

A NAC is a Network Access Code, which is basically like DCS/DPL for digital conventional channels. With a NAC, you could have a number of different "talkgroups" on one frequency. So MHFD could have NAC 1 as "Dispatch", NAC 2 as "Fireground", NAC 3 as "Hazmat Operations", etc. I don't know if the PRO96 decodes NACs - I know the Uniden radios don't. If you have a discriminator-tapped scanner, you could run kNACk, a program that is bundled with Unitrunker and specifically sniffs out the NAC.

Interesting. I dont have a tap on my pro96. I am just happy I can hear all the action again.
