• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I had to put my cat down last month so that sure gave me a bunch of different emotions.
He was in decline for a few months but he had a nice long life well over 10 years.

Exactly on target. They are not like part of the family, pets ARE part of the family.
I too have been around cats almost all of my life. All 5 of them were special in their own way and it's always hard when they pass away.

My wife and I recently took in a cat. A childhood friend had to move and she could not take her cats. Turns out this cat is amazingly calm and great with children.

My 2.5yr daughter just loves her. And has quickly fit right into our family.
