• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I notice the database has never been updated to reflect 152.9 as the dispatch frequency. However, I haven't heard traffic on this frequency for some time with the exception of what sounds like utility or maint. crews.

Can someone update me on Memphis Hospital Wing comms if there is an update?

Thanks!

I was listening to them a couple of days ago on that frequency. The repeater is located in Nesbit MS on a 500 Ft. tower. It is not easily heard in all parts of Memphis without an outdoor antenna and or a commercial class receiver. Also using the PL tone helps to keep interference from being heard.

It is listed under hospitals -emergency services-first listing Wing Hospital Air Nesbit EMS Tac

I hope this helps
