One person is in the hospital after being rescued from the Colorado River this afternoon.
Three of four occupants in a boat were able to reach the shore after the boat they were in capsized, according to the Grand Junction Fire Department.
A fourth person was rescued by boat from the river near 20 Road and taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, the Department said. No other injuries were reported.
Multiple emergency workers from local agencies worked to rescue the boaters.
The four people were duck hunting on the river when their boat capsized at about noon, said spokeswoman Heather Benjamin of the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.
