Not receiving any control channel
Tried several radios
Heard them in the last couple of days
Are they off the air, system broken, or is there a new CC????
Sorry if this has been asked before, I didn't see any thread.

It is EDACS, so I don't think that is supposed to apply.....

Hmmm, it appears that the Metro 21 users were going over to the Open Sky system. I didn't think that was implemented yet, but maybe so...

From the FCC stuff I found on line it "appears" that Metro 21 was going to Open Sky and not reband. However, I did not know that Open Sky was actually working. It if was rebanded, I wonder where it is....

Metro21 will have to be rebanded if it operates on non NPSPAC channels, or at least if it's in the new ESMR band. The type of trunking doesn't matter. SWN won't be available before the rebanding deadline (which is actually only a couple of months away, believe it or not).

I hear a EDACS control channel loud and clear at 851.0375, perhaps this is the one?

That looks like it "might" be it, but the problem is, we need the LCN to make it work!
Just guessing, if the CC is 851.0375, the plan might be:
2 851.5375
3 852.0375
4 852.5375
5 853.0375

It does appear to work. This is not a very active system, but I was able to hear a couple of State Park Police transmissions and answers, so it looks like this is Metro 21 and the LCN looks like it is probably right.

Yep, that sounds like it. I was able to hear few traffic in the wee hours last night on those new frequencies.

Rebanding affects all users. It makes no difference if you are using Tyco Toys or Motorola.
All 866-868 users are being moved. They are moved exactly 15Mhz down. Now with Motorola you do a reband flash and enter the additional new 4 control channels and you are done. With Tyco toys who knows.

Open Sky working? It still doesn't in PA after many years and many millions.

What your describing isn't "rebanding" it's simple frequency shifting. With the EDACS systems the 15MHz downshift shouldn't pose a problem. As for Motorola systems they are using an entirely new trubking table. So far only the GRE made Pro-96 and PSR-500/600 seem to be cabable of tracking them by creating a custom table.

N2MDK, the frequency shifts on 800 MHz are being done according to the rebanding order.
