Does anyone know the frequencies that MGM uses? or if they just operate off the same system that FoxWood's does?

I'm specifically interested in MGM EMS, But I would like to know what all the MGM departments use.

I don't see any licenses that would indicate a different system. I have all the licenses I have found for Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun listed over on the East Coast Scanning forums.
Here is Foxwoods: http://www.eastcoastscanning.com/viewtopic.php?t=1273
And don't forget the DB here: http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=2674

From what I gather from job posting for the casino, they hire both regular security guards and security w/EMT cert. I'm guessing that a medical emergency in the casino would have a security guard with EMT cert first respond and their ambulance would be dispatched just like any other EMS agency in the area. I think they have a contract with American Ambulance for EMS service.

The reason I was specifically interested in EMS is becauise my friend was one of the first EMT/security hired at MGM, And I have had the chance to ask what kind of radios they use.

From what I have seen at Foxwoods, users on the UHF LTR system have Kenwood TK-380s's, TK-3140's, or TK-3180's

I don't remember. My join date shows up as 2 days after the founders, back in '05. Joseph11 is the founder, he has the same member name here, drop him a PM and ask him for assistance.

foxwoods EMS system has completely changed from when they first opened.

Originally they had a fulltime EMS system in effect, with ambulances, etc....., however that has since gone away, and is no longer.

I believe they now rely on the Mashantucket FD, and American ambulance.

-Just my thought.

Believe me, I know how they operate, I know a few people that work there in the EMS and a few in the FD, Right now, they still have full time EMS personnel on site, and AMERICAN is their transport unit, And I heard through the grape-vine that eventually Foxwoods is supposed to get a few of their own ambulances.......But that's just a common rumor as far as I know, Never the less, None of what you said had anything to do with the origininal subject of this thread, Which would be the radio frequencies of the MGM ems personnel.

portable14,

WOW,

This is a great forum which is based on input from members. I found your original post interesting so I added my reply, which I stated is "just my thought", regarding EMS at this site.

Although, you may not be interested, I'm sure another member/guest would be.

Just trying to be helpful.

-Regards

The following frequencies were newly approved by the FCC in late 2007. Unknown useage but when I tried them in 2007 there was nothing heard. Might be for the Grand but I am not sure at this his time. Will have to give them another try. Probably LTR like the other Foxwoods channels.

ARK Restauraunt in MGM.

Ark restauraunt in the MGM at foxwoods uses a frequency of 464.55 with a PL of 67.0, Just in case anyone is interested. This information has been confirmed by examination of one of their radios and has been submitted to the rr database. F.Y.I. They use Motorola CLS 1110's.

All of the Foxwoods / MGM employees are on the LTR system but the individual stores / restaurants may have their own business or GMRS radios. That's all I know at this time.
