I live in Miramar and I am a transplant from North Miami Beach now (Aventura). I started scanning way back when... I had the largest antenna in Skylake (can anyone say EYESORE)?!?!
Anyway I just made my way back to scanning and trunking is the new thing I am reading... I used to scan Metro Dade County Station 6 on Biscayne near FIU I think it used to be 864.0625Mhz. I was a woodbe newshound and NMB was still on 156.150Mhz - My old VHF boat radio with 50 Watts used to step on the cops from Maule Lake Marina...
The good old days boy...
Anyway - thanks to Marcs Scanners and some great guys on here who monitor second by second I finally got to limping along and listening somewhat to broward and pines etc...
I have several scanners and hams but I just started working and programming with a PRO-97
I wanted to listen to Aventura and Metro... OOOps now it is Miami-Dade (don't forget to lift your pinky finger when you say that)... EDACS I gotta read about it... is is a pain inthe keister to get working?
I just learned (HA) well fudged together a Motorola SmartZone II and started listening to pines and some miramar... There was just a murder here and it prompted me to get back to listening...
Anyway I am Adam and your name sounded really familiar, from somewhere... Hmmmm. I used to have an AtariBBS and did an aweful lot of crap in the 80s in SoFla... Hmmmmm. Good to read from ya!
