Army National Guard at Fort Custer Training Center uses MPSCS, I think mostly off the Plainwell and Battle Creek sites, and possibly Vicksburg.
The Air Guard at the airport has a stand-alone trunked system that I am trying to track down.

Hi - I am new here sorry if I shouldn't be posting this but my dad and uncle were in the U.P. hunting a few years ago. They stopped by Sawyer AF base but couldn't get anywhere near it. He said the area was blocked off and they were met "miles out" on the road men that had machine guns.
My dad told them he thought the base was closed, and they were just out looking, apologized, then turned around. They were actually pretty shook up over it and taken by surprise.
My dad and uncle (who are conspiracy theorists to begin with) believe there is "some serious top secret stuff happening up there." They said it would be the perfect place "in the middle of nowhere."
It would be interesting to know. Additionally, my friend resides in Marquette. She mentioned this past summer, something briefly regarding there is "some crazy stuff happening around there."
I just thought that was interesting.

OK I have just picked up a BCT15x ....right away I can tell its an excellent receiver ,..better than my 898 & 396t for sure ,..on analog anyway ,...On my older radios I had just literally added freqs from the forum postings for milair ,..so now I have to figure out a way to find a the proper frequencies for Windsor/Detroit area milair & get them in an order that makes sense & is most efficient to reduce missed transmissions

Start by looking through the RR center freqs that you think might be in your area. Depending on how high your antenna is outside will determine how much scanning radius you will have. Put in the uhf center freqs. Fighters and bombers will be on them. Tankers and cargo planes use vhf centers.

02-06-19 & 02-07-19 heard multiple EAM's from Selfridge. I could barely hear them, so was unable to copy them. On HF 11.175 they were doing an EAM at the same time, but it was a different person. Unknown if they were the same message? The male that would do the EAM at MTC was ripping through it, no pauses in his cadence. Anybody copy one of these? I was able to copy the HF ones.

Looking to replace my tired old Radio Shack Pro 2006 for mil air scanning, it has too many issues. I was wondering what the most popular radio is that everyone is using, I am looking for a desk top no portable scanners.

If you can find a nice used Uniden BC 780 XLT they are great for milair. Also Uniden 15X is good too

Thanks nyair1, but I should have clarified I am after a new radio so that would make the 15x a contender. I would like to stay away from used as I don't want an old radio that might have the issues as my Pro 2006 has accumulated due to constant use .
