Yaesu: Microphone Compatability

I have a Turner Expander 500 desk microphone and would like to know if it would be compatible
with a Yaesu FT -DX-10. If not,guess I'll have to buy something else!

That different manufacturers have used audio input designs around different microphone type has driven my nuts over the years. I have a perfectly serviceable headset that I cannot use with my current radio because it has a dynamic microphone insert. I suppose I should make a preamplifier but it just just irritates and confounds me that designed incompatibility still goes on.

An amplified mic like the mentioned Tuner will work on radios designed for dynamic or higher output condenser.
