Hello,
I have two retired from my FD Midland 70-056c VHF Low (40-54MHz, I think thats the correct freq range) and was wondering if it would be worthwhile to pick up this http://cgi.ebay.com/Midland-VHF-UHF...ryZ48704QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem module to allow for PC programming. My intent would be to set the radio (just one, the other will continue to collect dust) up for RX only. There are still several low band users in my area (PA,DE,NJ,MD). For 60 bucks I could take advantage of this radio's 80 channels (never knew it had more than the 7 channels we used to have in it back in the day.....) Has anyone here had any dealings with the vendor RFGUYS or this module in particular or the radio itself, before I spend any money on this I'd be interested in hearing any feedback from the members here.
Thanks,
Tom

Moved to the "All Others" forum.

I don't have any experience with the sellers, the module, or with Midland radios in general; however, please note the module is designed to be used on a Parallel Printer Port, and these are a rare item on newer computers.

Thanks Lou, still waiting to hear from members who have worked with these radios or have done busines with RFGuys. From Google searches and EBay feedback they seem to have a decent reputation based on their service and products. I am OK with the Parallel Printer Port, all three of my machines have em. If I do get the module I will post my results here.
