I would like to get a mini USB to USB-C cable for my SDS100 so I can free up the USB port on my USB hub and plug in my external HDD which has a couple of steam games I'd like to play.
Would this type cable work with the SDS100? I would assume it would,, just as long as it has the mini USB to connect to the SDS100.

You don't specify where you are plugging in the scanner to USBC cable into.
Important info to give you an answer.

If it is Thunderbolt, there is plenty of juice there to run/charge your radio.
I use the dongle that Dell's come with, then just use your stock cable.

The below isn't Thunderbolt capable itself, (It's USB 3.0), , but if plugged into a port that can deliver enough wattage, (the 100 is power hungry when charging), it will work.

Is the OP asking for a data/power cable that will plug into the SDS100 and a USB C connector? Or an adapter that will take a USB connector (like the one provided on the stock cable) and convert it to a USB C? Either item will allow the scanner to use a SUB C power source, The first being preferable but either will work. I haven’t seen the first and haven’t looked for either but my vehicle (2021 F-150) provides for both types of plugs. I only needed the USB plug that came on the stock cable, until I upgraded my cell phone to a IPhone 15, which has a USB C plug. Now I use both, one to power/recharge the SDS100 and the other my cell phone. But I’m not sure the OP was asking what I am thinking.

Hopefully, he will get his answer. However, his post brings up a question I have… my truck does not support hubs and it tells me that every time I start the truck with the hub plugged in. I must acknowledge the message each time to clear the screen. It’s an active hub but I have not plugged it in to power out of fear of causing a problem so I run the hub as a passive device. (I have 3 other accessories that are powered by the previous non USB C plugs and need the hub. The truck has 3 USB plugs but I’d have 3 cables strung from the ports located in the front of the console, the storage under the console’s arm rest and a third on the backside of the console, for rear seat uses, hence the hub. Any suggestions? Without hyjacking the OP’s original question? I believe both may be related. If wrong , my apology’s, in which case please disregard. I will repost with my question.

Oops, that would help, wouldn't it.
I will be plugging it in to a 3-way USB-C splitter cable, which is connected to a front panel USB-C port on my PC.

Is it Thunderbolt, or some other high wattage port?
Again, the SDS100 has power requirements that some ports cannot provide.
I do believe they are high powered, as I have a 4 port USB Hub plugged into one of them with four devices plugged into the hub.

Any suggestions?
As you only need to power devices and not send data you could switch to charge only cables, then you'll have no USB data issues.
Or if you can sacrifice that hub you could open it up and cut the data cables and leave the power cables intact. But connectors are probably soldered directly to a circuit board, so will need you to have a look and see what could be done to isolate the data pins.
