Hello, I have the Unication g4 and I am attempting to scan Hardin County Sheriff dispatch, but I am only receiving some transmission, like I can sometimes hear dispatch center, and other times I can only hear the officers. Anyone have any clue the issue?

They are most likely half encrypted thats why.

If I were the OP (or anyone else in the listening area) I'd use an SDR with DSDPlus FastLane to log traffic from this talkgroup & rule out a programming issue on the G4. If indeed confirmed partially encrypted then a database update will need to be submitted requesting TGID 22500's mode to be changed from from "D" to "De" indicating partial encryption.

Take a look in the unication forum. A firmware revision has an issue with missing some transmissions. Do you know the firmware version of yours?

Hardin County SO is not encrypted. I’m near there often and have never heard them using it.

More likely they‘re not always on the site the OP is monitoring, or it’s a firmware issue in the radio as noted earlier.

Over the last few years WHEN [it's certainly not 100% of the time] I have heard Hardin County SO on the Bradner and more recently on the Bowling Green MARCS sites they are encrypted, but only part of the time. Encrypted more than 50%.
