I am curious if anyone uses a raspberry pi clone as the computer on a hotspot?
I am sure raspberry pi zero,3,4 is the best. I just would like to know what alternatives there are. orange pi,banana pi?
I know there was a battery powered hotspot at one time and it had some kind of computer in it, I just do not remember what it was.

For the price I just use the pi zero. I see no reason why things like the orange pi wouldn't work.

A friend uses a sharkspot (I think that's what it's called)...small, pretty and with built in lion battery. Stupidly expensive but for him money isn't of concern and the device was simpler to set up than the manual config of MMDVM.

I have multiple MTR2K-MMDVM boards with NPiNeo and Orange pi's onboard. Compiles and runs MMDVMHost and other variants just fine.

Nano pi was what I was looking for!I don’t see many hats for that one.
I’m assuming the jumbospot hat will work on the orange pi?
