Are the MN State Fair PD talkgroups patched to any of the L-TAC's or P-TAC's by chance?.

Thanks
Scott

I doubt it. I thought they were going to use some of the R POOL talkgroups. In fact, if I recall correctly, folks from agencies that came to work with their assigned (home agency) portables, at least in some cases, had the R POOL talkgroups added, so when they showed up to work at the fair they were able to bring the radio that they normally use at their regular agency and just switch over to whatever R POOL was assigned. Of course, it is possible that they are doing something different this year.

The State fair has 3 tg which are patched to Rpools. Last year part of the fair scanners had to listen to the Rpool tg and part it was on the fair tg- I believe it has to do with the order that patch is set up. There is a cache of radios from the state that is used at the fair which covers most of the users.

Rpool 8 is Patched to State Fair Main as of this am. Have not heard radio traffic just saw the patch up on unitrunker.

So I would be best to just monitor the 3 assigned Fair TG's or would listening to the R Pools have all the traffic on the Ramsey Co tower?..

I just heard traffic on Rpool 8.
The pairs are
Rpool 8 patch State Fair Main
Rpool 9 patch State Fair 2
Rpool 10 patch State Fair 3.
I have all 6 talkgroups because you will only hear traffic on one of the 2 in the patch and it all is determined by order of the patch.
Today I am monitoring on Hennepin East do to location, but if you have good Ramsey 203 coverage you are all set.

So what are the talkgroups then?

I had this programmed into my radio from last year:
11544 St Fair PD Main
11546 St Fair C2C
12576 State Fair PD 1
12578 State Fair PD 2
12580 State Fair PD 3

The PD ones do not appear to be rpool's.

Hi Folks!

I have a Pro-197 and Win500 software. Can any of you help me with programming these State Fair frequencies into Win500 so I can upload them to my scanner? I would sure appreciate the help.

Thanks

Patches appear to be reversed today. I am now getting the pd on State Fair Main insted of Rpool8.

Don't forget pd 3 and rpool 10. I haven't heard much on 3 this year but if a larger incident happens they will move to three channels. They did that last year with the power line down on the perimeter.
PD units assigned to traffic around the transit way are on the vhf ch 151.2575.
I have not monitored 461.9500 this year to see if admin is still using this channel.
I will be making my travels to the fair the weekend- playing during the day, working during the night.
