Mobile Antenna's v.s. cb antenna updated at 1145pm

I need some quick info on what is a good mobile antenna to pick up all the frequency's while on the go??? i want to pick up my155's , 800's and talk group.. ihavea cheap cb antenna on right now, but i have a wilso trucker 5000, but its a 85 dollar cb antenna i've had for a while, just bought new magnetic base but don't wanna waste time if it doesn't make reception better..

the 800mhz antenna i use at home comes in real clear.that 7 inch one...

The Wilson is a CB antenna and will not work for the scanner, reception would be poor at best. Search the antenna forum and im sure you will find something to suite your needs ................hoser147

As Ka3jjz states, the Radiall Larsen tri-band sounds like a good match for your needs. I have one trunk-lip mounted on my car using a Pro-96 and it performs very, very well for me. Nice low profile as well.

well i tried the wilson and all the for giggle til i get a good mobile scanner antenna, and reception stunk, when they talk its all crackly and staticky has a rythem to it...

so will a good scanner antenna clear it up??? hmmmm..
