• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Seems like Lockheed in Ohio (legacy Goodyear) is working on this for the military plus for the commercial market.

I love stupid ideas. They come back all the time.

Now where did I park my flying car?

You know, the one on the cover of Popular Science in 1950, 1960, 1970, 1980, and 1990, etc.

What months???

No!

What month/months???

In 1950 there were a lot of popular science magazines that talked about cars but not the flying type on the cover.

Not even on popular mechanics!

Blimps and high altitude solar aircraft have been talked about for a long time though. Perhaps it may be. I also see a time when there will be blimps or drones for other purposes.
