Yesterday I took a trip up to the Mount Oglethorpe site and parked about 150 yards from the site. The site is in Eagle's Rest Park at an altitude of 3275 feet. Four of the five frequencies listed in Radio Reference, 121.350, 127.050, 133,100 and 134.800 were active. I monitored 127.775 for about 10 minutes and never heard any traffic. Aircraft were handed off to Atlanta Approach on 124.37, 128.0, 126.97, 132.47, 126.97, and 127.85. Other hand offs were Memphis 128.15, Knoxville 118.0, Greer, 118.8, and Asheville124.65.

Listed by RR Database as Sector 61 Low, however I can't find any reference to this frequency or sector in any ZTL docs. Anyone have any more info. ? Sector closed, frequency used as a spare maybe ?

Were you hearing the controller on 134.800 ? ZTL docs I have show the 134.800 RCAG located at Foothills.

Thanks for any info.

Yes, I could hear the controller on 134.800. The signal was strong. Looking at my notes I forgot to mention that it was linked to 127.050. Switching back and forth I heard the same traffic and controller on both frequencies.
