I hear a lot of traffic on Tuesday from the 148.150 repeater here where I live in Tampa, Florida.
Still on 110.9 / $455 ??
Yes 148.1500 and 148.1250 are the Two Repeaters, but knowing/confirming the PL and NAC help in determining which Repeater ID
thanks
You might want to turn on tone-search
Hearing some weak radio checks in northern VA on 148.125 analog. Now ending, but there will be another radio check at 1600z.
The Virginia Defense Force also happens to be doing radio checks this morning on the VA STARS system.
1412z- Now doing radio checks on 148.15 PL167.9 doing radio checks without replies. Same station is doing the call- Jefferson399. Heard a Free State (MD) unit check in. Now some Jefferson units checking in. Another check will begin in 2 hours.
1428z- ALE on 4.585. Some other tone is constant though.
1450z- Heard a Gaithersburg, MD unit calling on 148.15 PL167.9. Now faintly hearing someone on 148.15 PL146.2.
1454z-Gaithersburg Base on 148.125 PL141.3 now. Then getting a digital sounding signal that won't break squelch on my digital entry with NAC search for the same frequency. Opened squelch all the way and saw NAC585 briefly.
148.1500 167.9 - should be R-14 Mt Weather (VA)
148.1500 146.2 - should be R-26 Marbury (MD)
148.1500 141.3 - should be R-20 Easton (MD)
$585 would be from R-20
That location for R20 doesn't seem right. That's 80 miles away. That's doable for me in the summer with ducting, but definitely not in the winter.
I think the R21 Ellicott City repeater is more likely.
An aircraft from Carroll Co MD is now airborne and on Air 1 analog.
Constant Watch net checks now beginning on R14.
Anybody have any HF hits? Im getting ALE on 4585 & 9047USB but no voice traffic yet. Does CAP even operate HF voice traffic nets?
