DENVER – Two people climbed back onto an RTD bus for safety after they had been shot on Friday night.
Denver Police say the shooting happened at the RTD Park and Ride near East 47th Avenue and Peoria Street around 9:30 p.m.
Police say a group of passengers had just gotten off a bus when an argument broke out.
According to police, a black man in his late teens and wearing a red and white shirt and red dickey pants then pulled out a gun and started shooting.
Two other men were hit. One was shot several times, according to police, and the other was only hit once.
According to RTD, the two victims climbed back on board a bus to avoid more gunfire.
Both were taken to a local hospital and the man who was shot several times is listed in critical condition, police said.
The suspect ran off and police believe he went to a nearby apartment complex. They do not have the suspect in custody.
