I have been monitoring the Camden County, Missouri for a while. I am using the Camdenton 017 VHF site. Just for grins I made a new system using Warsaw 056 700 site and installed the same TGID from the VHF 017 site. I am also getting the TGID on the 056 site.

You can get many talk groups on many MOSWIN sites. It's not uncommon to hear a trooper or officer etc, while transmitting, on two, three or more sites. As long as their signal hits the site tower.

Even when the 017 site has VHF control and the 056 site has UHF Control?

That's not how it works.
The users are only received by one site at a time, the site with the best signal quality which usually means the closest one. If all the users on a talkgroup were near eachother and one site you would only hear that talkgroup on that one site. If there are multiple users spread out over large area with several sites you will hear the talkgroup on whatever sites have users affiliated to it at the time.

Yes, you can only hear one at a time on your scanner. In the past, and even today, I will hear a transmission on a certain TG and hit the scan button on my scanner and I could easily hear the same person talking on up to 4 sites. If that radio is the only radio on that TG then I guess there would be no need to use all those sites. I get that. I was just trying to let the person know that you can hear the same radio transmission on multiple sites. If I remember he was programming the voice channels individually and not using the control channels to properly "track" the users. I might be wrong with that assumption.

I have the CC programmed in for the VHF site. It works great. I just copied all of the TGID's and placed them into the UHF 056 MOSWIN site. Just to see what happens. I hear the VHF TGID's on the UHF CC's.
