• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hallo every body, my Name ist Stefan, i am a german Licenced Radio Amateur, and my Motorola DM 3601 has worked fine till last year. Suddenly the DMR Network has new Repeaters and Talker Alias and all other Things. So i began to search the Mistake in the Codeplug, because from one day to another day, i didnt here any talkgrpoups like TG 262 DL on Timeslot 1 with Color Code 1, or TG 9 on Timeslot 2 and so on. Some Peaple on the Band told me, that the Radio DM 3601 ist not longer possible to receive anything. So i have work in the codeplug for 1 Week, what i find out was, when i programmed a new Talkgroup like 1234567 on TS 1 with Colourcode 1 for my Hotspot , and my Amateurradio Friend in Essen is always programming the same new Talkgroup in his Radio Anytone, the we can talk and hear all things are good. What will be the mistake if i do the same Things for TG 262, or if i go over a Digipeater in Bonn, i can here nothing in my Radio, is there any Codeplug wich solved my Problem, or what ca, i Do now, is my Radio out of work, because the time has come for take it away, or where is the Problem. Is here any Person who know the Problem with Motorola DM 3601, or can give me some Help or a Codeplug to download. Thanks for fast Help. 73 de Stefanmototrobo.jpg

@DH3PAE I wrote to you in Telegram.

Gen1 radios don't support OVCM which is being widely used in Germany. You have to explicitly program TG contacts into the radio, add them to a Rx Group List which should be assigned to the channels you intend to use. German BM Master 2621 explicitly sends OVCM for all German talkgroups.
