Motorola minitor 2 questions and confusion

ok so my pager is set to this alert pattern a-b c-b, and i was wondering if there is any way to make it continous alert on a-b and Interrupt on c-b, also is there a way to have an off duty mode so when i put it in position 2 (3 if you count the bell/closed) it will only alert for c-b

In a word, no.

To the best of my understanding, the Minitor 2 must have the same "a" for both sets of tones it is listening for. (This is the only way I have seen them set up, when looking for two sets of tones, I could be wrong.)

If you want to have more flexibility in your tone detection, you need to go for a newer Minitor, or a non-Motorola solution. Newer voice pagers allow multiple frequencies, and multiple tone sets.

Keep in mind that only the Minitor 5 is the only Motorola pager that is narrowband capable, out of the box. (Swissphone and Apollo both offer narrowband capable units.) United Communications Corp. is doing after-market modifications to Minitors, to allow them to function with narrowband transmissions.

Nope, there is lots of flexibility in the II's, but you have to have the jumper charts.

They're to be found in the Minitor II section of Minitor I/II/III/IV

If yours is set up for A-B and C-B, then it looks like you're stuck with "interupt" for both alarms. There is an off-duty mode.

Once you pull the Minitor II apart, you can see all of the jumpers and options. Just be careful with the antenna!

ok which jumper is it for the off duty because batlabs shows like 4 different jumpers to do that

I am trying to get a minitor 2 to alert on a single tone of 327.1. Can someone please help me?
