Motorola Ty I or II

I am currently scanning the City of McKinney PD, etc. using a Ty I setup and fleet map; the radio reference website says that it should be Ty II; Is this possible? and if so, why can I still receive transmissions on Ty I/fleet map; talkgroup ID's are 000-0, etc.

McKinney is Type II and should be set up that way. Scanners can interpret Type II talkgroups as Type I talkgroups (incorrectly), but they usually are inconsistent, jump around quite a bit and they exhibit some really strange behavior like a base on one talkgroup talking to a mobile on another talkgroup, etc. Set it up as Type II and you're in business.
