I am a newbie in the radio world and this is my first post so please dumb it down for me. I was issued a Motorola xts 5000 and now I am having problem with the audio. I wore it on my left hip around the 7-8 o'clock position on my belt in a kydex blade-tech holster. When on the job half of the time I am standing and other half I am sitting in my car. While sitting in the car seat my bodyweight is exerting more pressure on the radio, as it is squashed against the seat. After doing this for about 8 month, the radio volume is now really sensitive, depending how I am sitting and where the radio is situated the volume is either normal or it drops down to barely a whisper. Now I have to squirm around just trying to find the "sweet spot" to have the correct volume level. What is the problem? And how can I fix it? If I can fix it how can prevent it in the future? Please help and any help is greatly appreciated ps I am using a surveillance unit with my radio
