• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

I have a MotoTrbo XPR7550. I use to monitor a county close by who uses a Trbo digital system but they recently changed their encryption codes. Everything else stayed the same, so I can still see them key up on my screen and see who is talking but just can't hear anything. Is there anyway to figure out what the new encryption codes are or somehow decode the transmission?

Why don't you ask them for the code?

Keep in mind (in case you're not aware of it), that unless that agency specifically grants you permission to monitor their encrypted transmissions, then doing so is a violation of U.S. Federal Privacy laws. If you do not have permission, and someone there finds out that you are monitoring them (assuming that you figure out the encryption key again), and they complain to the FCC, then you could be in a LOT of trouble.

I'm sure the O/p means color code not encryption code as decrypting encrypted radio traffic without authorization is unlawful and a taboo subject.

To get the color code he/she could use a program like DMR Decode with an SDR to obtain the desired system data/

DMR Decode won't yield privacy information. It sounds like you already have the frequency, color code, time slot, etc. You won't get that help here.

Ok. Yes. Where could I find the DMR DECODE WITH SDR program ?

What part don't you get that hacking encryption codes for monitoring is illegal. If the sys admin won't give them to you, tough luck. If you keep asking expect a visit and if convicted don't bend over to get the soap. There is a reason the talkgroups are encrypted.

Or all of this is just a troll...

I heard that if you send your radio off to the DPRK (Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea), they will program all the encryption keys you will ever need. Of course, the cost for this is you must sell your soul to Kim Jong, but it seems like you would do anything for these codes.
