Someone cut your coax? Presuming so....you'd have to look at where the antenna connects to the coax and duplicate that when you installed a new piece of coax or "stretched" your current coax. (if you have spare wire).

Some hook via specific connectors such as a PL239 and some simply separate the center conductor and shield and bolt the center conductor to the antenna and shield to the mount (vehicle body). Some have special moulded on connectors on the coax to mate with specific mounts...like Firefly and others.

Without more info...it's hard to give a definate answer

Ok - lets get the connector nomenclature correct for this fella please - there no such thing as a PL239.
It is a PL259(male uhf connector) that mates to a SO239(female uhf connector).

PFCCooper - please tell us the make and model of your antenna and that may help us to help you out.
EDIT: Also please tell us about the mount in better detail, if possible make & model.

I got the antenna off of a friend and they i guess cut the coax off in the process and tossed it in the trash.

The spring screws in to the base. Squirt it all down with some WD-40 or other loosening lubricant and then toss the bolt-on mount. The mount is a common CB item.

Ok - I guessing that is going to be mounted on a pickup truck tow hitch or similar arrangement.

You will of course need the proper length RG-58A or 58U cable and an appropriate connector
for the cb on one end, these are usually PL259 connectors. On the other end for the antenna
you will need to strip off the outer jacket to expose about 1 1/2" or 2" of sheild braid. Route
the cable from the cb through the vehicle to the point at which you will mount the antenna
bracket. On the cable (antenna end) using crimp tools & crimp lugs crimp on a eye lug of the
appropriate size one for the antenna center bolt and one for a ground screw or bolt which will
crimp to the ground sheild braid. After crimping these eye lugs I usually solder them for additional
corrosion protection. Drill a hole in the bracket for the ground screw. That bracket looks a bit
rusted out so I would wire brush the area of the ground screw then attach it to the bracket.
You may also need to replace the center bolt as it looks a bit rusty as well. Now attach both
to the antenna and you should be good to go. The cable center conductor goes to the antenna
center bolt and the braid goes to the bracket ground screw. Good luck......

I'll bet this was someone's version of a base station antenna or it was possibly mounted to the side of a camper, I cant imagine the bent bracket interfacing to anything else. If the whip is any good, unscrew at the spring and toss the rest, you would be better off buying a specific mount for whatever you need to attach the antenna to.
