I have the 436hp scanner and need to know how to make it go to the next frequency or channel when it seems to be "stuck" with a long conversation describing an event. Like a bank has been robbed and the police are talking on and on and on. So is there a button to press go to the next channel?

I mean no disrespect for law enforcement and I hope I am not asking this question in the wrong place. And, yes I have read the manual and the easier to read manual.

On my 396 I would just press the scan key.............

I usually just grab the rotary encoder (the knob on top) and give it a click to the clockwise direction...

you could also hit "avoid" to temporarily lock out the channel until you turn the scanner off.
