Any scanner that can do trunktracking for an EDACS system will work. For example the Pro 163 or 164 from Radio Shack are good scanners.

If you want to expand a little and listen to the Kennedy Space Center you will need a scanner capable of hearing digital signals such as the Pro 106 or 197. Again both are from Radio Shack.

I'm showing my bias toward RS since that is what I own. However there are a number of scanners made by Uniden which would also be excellent for your listening. I don't know the models, but you can do some research and find out the information.

I'm not sure where you are coming from but welcome to Central Florida.

Cool. I live off Nova Rd, just south of Dunlawton.

Wallboy, your moving to a great part of the state with lots of monitoring availability. So far not a lot in this area is either digital or encrypted.

You will have plenty to listen too. As to a scanner it's going to come down to your research as to what you like or don't like in each scanner you check out and of course your budget. I was reading another post somewhere and someone suggested that although the area a person wanted to listen to was mostly analog, a lot of places are going digital. So you might want to consider that when you go to buy.
