Anyone on 30 meters sstv..we are<obvious>, on 10.132 using mmsstv free program, in the am and around 6 to 6:15 pm DST..a few stations on on this narrow mode of sstv..lot of fun.

Does this version of SSTV qualify as a "data" mode that is narrowband in nature like CW and Pactor? What are the bandwidth and symbol rate specs of it?

Nope, on HF at least, it's about as wide - perhaps a bit less - as a sideband signal. There's a decent description of SSTV on wikipedia...

And now there are many more SSTV modes that are shown here, but you can find that with a little work. There's even a digital form of SSTV that's being developed...

Oh and by the way, SSTV is sometimes used by the hams on the ISS..but that's a topic for the amateur forum...73 Mike

Thanks Mike, that's the point that I was trying to make. The 30 meter band is supposed to be for narrow/data modes only.
