Over the past 24 hours 854.5625 and 856.0625 have been added to the Zone 5 TRS, both of these appear to be control channels; 854.5625 is the current cc as I type this and 856.0625 was the cc for a brief period earlier this morning. Those who monitor this system need to add these to their list of control channels in order to hear the system.

This is likely part of rebanding and there could still be more changes to come as the work on the system appears to be ongoing.

MSP Zone 5 TRS Changes A & H Troops

859.2125 was the CC for Zone 1 for a short time yesterday.

Also I put zone 5 in Unitrunker last night and I had 0 hits on 860.9875

I got a high spot where I can hear Mass eastern CC's, get them identified thru my pro 106.. I seen bits here and there things have changed in the systems.. Today I went to that spot and my pro 106 got no hits as far as systems I have in there..So on my bcd396xt-I ran a search from 850--860 mhz. Cc find--off..Straight search. Here's what I caught:
856.4875--Edacs
851.9875--cc
860.8375--cc
I wasnt able to label them, I was just on a C.C hunt..Got nothing on the 700's.. Both scanners had an 800mhz antenna. 860.9875 gave me a signal, but it was faint. Last year at this time, when I went up there, A-H would be going to town gabbing. Not much now.. Did they lower the power output, or switch sites? Everyones rebanding of some sort. Progress..

856.4875 is the Manchester NH EDACS system
851.9875 is the MBTA EDACS system
860.8375 is MSP Zone 8 (Central MA)

Zone 5 has been using 854.6125 all week, I personally haven't seen any activity on the 860.xxxx voice channels. The 700 sites are not planed to come on until at least July 1

Oh wow, here we are talking about the new CC, and I put it in all scanners 'except' the 1 that has the 800mhz R-S antenna. You know how the Uniden396xt runs thru systems looking for the CC to begin scanning? Well, on zone 5--I've been watching it get a minor signal fron the T.R.S.. I went to check the signal strength-860.9875 is still in it! Not for long. I made 860.9875-into-854.6125. Yep, theres the CC.. Faint but present. Talk about stupid. Every scanner gets (re-bande) but the right 1. Sheeeesh, dum dum dum dumb. I loves tecnology

I went back up the hill today to see how many C.C's I could grab again. This time I found the 866-ish C.C..868.6375..I also got-852.2875,,,854.6125,,851.9875, and a weird 1--852.3375. ..Troop A-H were crystal clear. Meanwhile--on a gmrs/murs search-I was getting hits left and right.

852.2375 ?? Analog or P25 ?? or Typo ??

SysID's would help in determining the user agency.

Don't mean to stray off topic but I was wondering if you can hear the MWRA on other zones or is it pertained to the greater Boston area zones such as 1& 5 and possibly others?

There are for the most part on Zone 1. The only one I heard on another zone was Water 2 on Zone 5

852.2375--type-o..oops, mistook a signal for another. Just got back from there -again- to check mistake.. I dont know how many people have held a pro 106 with an 800 mhz antenna on trying to get a reading on a system so far away. Like getting a bad cell signal in the hills-dying to get that extra bar on the display...lol

Responding to a report. I am wondering why you feel it is necessary to post a list of known talk groups in a topic that is all about control channel changes?

I think that the bigger problem is that the thread title is "MSP Zone 5 TRS Changes A&H Troops" and that he's posting all sorts of MA control channel frequencies and he's not making it clear that those have nothing at all to do with MSP, Zone 5, or A&H troops. It leads to confusion as we saw in Investigator16's post.

If he's going to post random control channels and talk groups, most of which are already known, he should maybe start a new thread.
