Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Does anybody know if the RSS for MT and MTS2000 radios is still available to purchase? I need 6.08 because several of my friends need me to program their radios. If it is still available, does anyone have a current price estimate?

Thanks in Advance,
Danny

Wow. Oh well, that's too bad I guess. Is there any hope if I already have 6.07 but their radios were programmed with 6.08?

Interesting. I wonder how people are supposed to legitimately get software to program their older radios now. I have 3 or 4 MT2Ks still in service and a bunch of MTS2Ks as well. Hell, I even have Maxtracs and MT1000s still ticking over.

That's one way of making us upgrade to XTS/APX, I guess.

According to that Bat Company you're not! They want you to fill the land fills with them perfectly good to use on the ham band radios.

Yep, already tried the other day. Gave me the "Too new for this application". Thanks for the info!

Do you have an archive for the same model you are trying to program? If so what you can do is load the archive and clone the radio even though the radio was programmed with newer RSS version. Archive file has to be from same model # radio for this to work.

Yeah, if you run Lab* on the MTS radios you will have to send them back to Mot and they might just tell you to go pound sand at this point.

*If you don't know what Lab is, don't ask. :)

It's one way of making us go to another brand. Imagine a vehicle that is out of production and somehow it's illegal to replace the tires or put gas in it once the company tells you time is up?

What a load of crap.

Well I see I am not the only person chasing the rainbow.
Although I would be happy to get version 6.07 and maybe later find a 6.08.
I am new on the forum so my post are moderated.
I would to get a message saying here is your 6.07.
