LIRR list 160.83 MHz & 160.62 MHz as unknown ops, however I heard mention sometime back that 160.83 MHz is NJTPD's primary dispatch frequency but is also used at Babylon Yard, also that 160.62 MHz is used on the eastern end of the Greenport & Montauk branches past the Ronkonkoma & Speonk stations, can any of you Long Islanders confirm this? Thanks in advance.

The current frequencies used are as follows
MTAPD E-1.......... 160.455 (dispatch) LIRR
MTAPD E-2.......... 160.605 (car to car) LIRR
MTAPD PN........... 160.320 (dispatch) Penn Station/Flatbush
MTAPD N-1........... 161.220 (dispatch) Metro North RR and Grand Central
MTAPD N-2........... 160.560 (car to car) MNR
We also have multiple banks set up by region including train frequencies and local police in the VHF band. Folks could be using different frequencies, i'll ask around

Anything going in or out of BRT, (Brookhaven Rail Terminal) will be done via Ny & Atlantic on Lirr’s main line. Anything inside BRT will be done by the newly formed class III rail company, U S Rail of New York, LLC. So far, they have 2 EMD GP38's numbered 1010 and 1017

Special attention to your 160.830 findings; that frequency, with tone 123.0, is used as the output to New Jersey Transit's police north repeater. I highly doubt that same combination would be used in such close proximity. The repeater's coverage area is well into Orange County to the north.
