Multi-Packet TRS?

I have heard a lot about these Multi-Packet TRS's out there and digital scanners not being able to track them well. Is the SD system of this type? My new BC996T has some trouble picking up on talk groups right away. Sometimes I get everything, other times part of the conversation, and other times nothing at all. My 296 seems to pick up on everything all the time. So I dont know if my 996 isn't working properly or if its this multi-packet issue. Any info is greatly appreaciated!!

not sure on the multi part , i get the same problem in sioux falls with my 996

I'm pretty sure it's the Multi-Packet issue since I have the same problem.

I'm pretty sure that by now Uniden is aware of it.....

Well? Did you guys try the latest firmware (1.13.17) to see if it fixes the Multi-packet issue? It did for me!
