At the moment, or a few minutes ago, I was hearing what sounded like a repeater on MURS 151.9400, PL 103.5.

I didn't think repeaters were legal on any MURS frequencies. I made a special bank with it, 151.95, 151.925 and 151.93 just to check for intermod or whatever... But I haven't heard much. The frequency was pretty staticky from Yamhill. Ill be listening.

The radios I heard also had Fleetsync IDs...

Could be something grandfathered in also, how do you know it was a repeater did you also hear the input frequency? Otherwise it could have just been simplex traffic.

Around here there is plenty of commercial users on the MURS channels, they were there first and are grandfathered in.

No, I didn't find an input, but when people would end their transmission the radios would emit their ID, squelch a bit, and then there was a 3 second hangtime with the PL.

I have heard warehouses doing just that on local repeaters that were never intended to cover more than a few miles. I've found it to be much more common with UHF though. BTW: I'm in Clatsop County and never hear anybody besides loggers on MURS. The Marine VHF band is a whole other story though...

I'm out here on Sauvie Island and I'm currently listening to a couple of guys on 151.940 using a repeater. They were mentioning it. They are definitely putting out some power. They seemed to be testing between their VHF and UHF radios based on locations. Not sure what the deal it.

Yep, I heard that conversation too. It was pretty rough here but definitely readable. Sounded like they had multiple sites or something.
