Hello fellow scanners. I'am looking for what frequencies my other fellow New York scanners feel are must have frequencies programmed into a scanner for New York State.

Below are the frequencies that are in my scanner that I feel are must have frequencies.

154.665 (110.9 PL) State Police Car-To-Car
155.370 (CSQ) Statewide Police Channel
155.475 (CSQ) Nationwide Police Channel
155.715 (CSQ) Statewide Medical Channel
45.880 (CSQ) Statewide Fire Mutual Aid Channel
154.695 (CSQ) State Police Statewide Channel
155.565 (CSQ) State Police Statewide Tactical Channel

Please let me know if you feel my list of must have frequencies are valid frequencies, and also if you have any other input as to your feelings on must have frequencies for New York State.

Thank you.

That is a good list!

I don't know about statewide, but 46.22 is used in the north part of the state as a car to car EMS/Fire/Medivac frequency.

Also the HEAR frequencies 155.340 and 155.400 are used statewide, but you hear a lot of EMS to Hospital traffic on them.

Anyone have anymore frequencies?

What are those frequencies?

I have heard Law Enforcement talk about ITAC car to car quite often.

since we are in counties that border, here are some other freqs that you may want....perhaps more "regional" than state, however.

453.425 or 453.525 (whichever comes in best where you are)
159.270
460.400
to name a few..

plus, I enjoy listening to all the sheriff dept's.

If you want the post-rebanding frequencies for I-TAC and I-CALL, just subtract 15 MHz from the current ones.

Vtac, Utac And Itac

I here alot about these VTAC, UTAC AND ITAC Frequencies and I see something about pre re-banding and post re-banding and something about the post re-banding frequencies being 15 Mhz lower than the pre re-banding frequencies, so my question is. What frequencies should I put into my scanner the pre re-banding ones or the post re-banding ones that are 15 Mhz lower than the pre re-banding frequencies.

Please let me know.

In most of New York (except NYC and the lower Hudson Valley), use the pre-rebanding frequencies. The rest of the state is in Waves 3 and 4 of the rebanding process. Wave 3 is supposed to be close to retuning, but Wave 1 is not actually finished yet and, as predicted by many including me, the entire process is falling years behind.

why not google 800MHz rebanding and find out about the whole process, google has a wealth of stuff indexed if you want to look. You could even try wikipedia!
