I've exhausted what information that I have, so i'm posting the question here....

Any idea who may be using NAC B00? 169.9125 and 169.5500 have popped up here in NC, both with a NAC of B00 and both 100% encrypted. 169.9125 seems to be in Greensboro and 169.5500 seems to be in Charlotte.

ICE perhaps?

Altho both have been reported and confirmed in different areas as CBP / TSA / DoA, I will suggest you look for

a.) National Park or b.) USFW

Thanks for the info guys..

We do have a small National Park here in Greensboro, but they are on the county system and not VHF unless something has changed with them recently. As for 169.550... That frequency is also at the Great Smokey Mountains National Park out in Western NC with a NAC of 293 I believe. The 100% encryption makes me think that this is not NPS.

The analog CBP repeater here (Net 6) is still online, but has been very quiet recently other than the usual OTAR. It used to be common to hear "Gulf" units calling Charlie 100 in the mornings on Net 6, which has stopped. That was my logic behind thinking that the new frequencies may possibly be ICE.
