Alrighty, allow me to explain this mess.

I have an XTS5k model II capable of 9600 baud trunking. I program it step by step for NAS like I've done on plenty of other systems and to no avail it doesn't work. The display shows the talkgroup but no audio comes through, the speaker isn't an issue as it makes beeps and I even tried an external microphone to ensure that.

The Huntsville Simulcast site is what I tried to monitor first, I understand under the site modulation it shows as Phase II (from what I saw the FCC license shows it's only allowed to operate on Phase I emissions, as well as the 2 other sites in the county), so I tried neighboring sites (Gurley & New Market) as well as trying Morgan County since they're still using XTS radios down there. Same issue, the talkgroup displays as if I am receiving traffic then goes back to scan, but no audio comes through. I am trying to monitor HPD and a couple other agencies.

The Gurley and New Market site show Phase I modulation and so does Morgan County, I've checked over this about a dozen times and cannot figure out what I am doing wrong or am misunderstanding.

Anyone able to help? Thanks..

Here's the codeplug that I currently have set. The only site in here is the Huntsville Simulcast. Another issue I am having is not being able to put in the 857.4125 alternate control channel without the radio erroring.

Here's a link to a shared google drive folder that contains the codeplug. Radioreference would not allow me to upload the file.

Update:

I was able to fix the control channel frequency to work, I adjusted the 800mhz part of the band plan to what it was supposed to be.

The updated codeplug is in that drive folder

HOWEVER, the talkgroup traffic still shows, and I am still not picking up any audio

Here's the links to the sites I have tried to monitor. The codeplug has the Huntsville Simulcast site already in it.
I'm 99% sure Madison county is phase 1... FCC emissions show licensing for phase 1, there is also a video of Madison county sheriff using an XTS2500. Morgan county is also phase 1... the 911 site shows information about their system, and explains that certain XTS radios will work.

A lot of talkgroups in Madison county are encrypted. You'll still see unit ids on the XTS, but you won't hear any audio.
The Talkgroups I’m trying to monitor are unencrypted.

Example, the following are unencrypted and are able to be listened to with a scanner:

HPD North, South, West dispatch
HFD dispatch
Madison County Sheriff
Madison City Fire Dispatch and tac channels
HEMSI Dispatch, Supervisor, and Ops channels
Animal Control
Huntsville Utilities

SOLUTION:

Figured out the band plan wasn't set up correctly.

It's a super weird one... Two frequencies with the two different versions of the channel spacings, 6.5 khz and 12.5 khz

I'm now receiving audio. Also, Huntsville Simulcast is definitely a phase 1 site with phase 1 talkgroups
