Nassau Rebanding

So Nassau has just rebanded and i am hearing some communications over the system.

When i searched the forums about rebanding, one came up from Wayne_h.
He said you need to configure the custom tables in a certain way to get it to work. Just wondering if i could be hearing more, or i don't need to do that at all.

Nassau is an EDACS system, so all you need to do is reprogram all the frequencies, in LCN, of course.

No.motorola systems need the custom re-band table the edac systems just need the lowered frequencies entered in the lcn order.

Correct - the Nassau Public Safety System is EDACS. Maybe you are thinking of the new Nassau County Policy system, which was originally thought to be a Motorola system, but it turns out it is going to be a straight P25 system.

Anyone have any info on that system?

I know w2lie was tracking it for a bit.

I am still tracking the Nassau Police P25.. nothing new to report there.

And all the above info on the EDACS system should helpyou.. They rebanded on 11/14.
