On the Marine page of the USA National Database, the AIS channels are labeled "Marine-AIS 1" for Alpha Tags. Why aren't they labeled 87B, 88B, etc? Most of the time I always see the AIS channels referenced that way...
On the Marine page of the USA National Database, the AIS channels are labeled "Marine-AIS 1" for Alpha Tags. Why aren't they labeled 87B, 88B, etc? Most of the time I always see the AIS channels referenced that way...
The old "B" channels were for simplex communications with shore stations. Since 87B and 88B are no longer used for that, they removed those channels name from the roster.
