• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Hello!
I wanted to ask if anyone could clue me in on the state patrol frequencies. I see that there is 'ND State Radio', 'ND LAW TAC 1&2', and 'HP mobiles 4-6'. I have tried all of these and haven't heard a thing. Would anyone have any information on the base frequencies that they use? Or if i'm way off track in what i'm asking to please elaborate.

Thanks!

They mostly use the MDT (CAD) Computer Aided Dispatch to check out on traffic stops and other stuff. They rarely use the radio anymore. If they do it is there HP channel 156.03000 NAC 585 but they use encryption. They do talk on State channels 1 and 2 (154.935 and 154.695) I have a friend at State radio he said to me the most of the time when they talk to them on the radio it to ask to extended the timer which means there CAD Clock. When they do a traffic stop they type it in to there MDT and down at state radio it come up on there screen with a 5 to 10 min timer.

Lot's of radio traffic due to the caps lock being stuck on the MDC in the squad.
