Need Help antenna adapter.

I am new to radio, just bought a new Uniden Home Patrol BCD536HP. Also bought a new Diamond RH77CA antenna. I bought an adapter to right angle base to antenna, wrong one for sure. So I have been looking for a right angle adapter to connect the two but have failed. Seems it needs to be SMA to BNC>

Can someone point me to the correct adapter or a better antenna that connects directly to the radio that would be an upgrade from the stock antenna.

Welcome to the RR forums. BCD536HP has a BNC female input. Diamond RH77CA is BNC male antenna. You'd need one of these

Amazons price is about $10 for 5. I had so many of these from when I used to run coax years ago for house INTERNET, that I through a bunch away and still have a bunch. He may be able to find them locally at non-scanner stores due to their used for video, networking, and other uses. Home Depot and Walmart might even have them in their stores.
