• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

My brother-in-law, Robert Miller, is an ex highway patrol dispatcher. He has polio and is currently totally housebound. His major entertainment is listening to police/sheriff/highway patrol and the state emergency system on his analog scanner. He is in Sweetwater county and they have gone to a digital broadcast. I need some hands on help in Rock Springs. I would like to get him something like a PSR 600 programed for his local area. He does not have a computer and is not computer literate. I need someone in that area to work with. Are there any clubs there that I can contact? No scammers please. He is a person in need. I need help to help him. Thanks Dan

Hi Dan and welcome to the forums I edited your post to remove your personal info. Might be better to communicate any private info through private messages if you find the help you seek. :)

Suggest you move this question to the Wyoming Section

I would suggest that this be moved to the Wyoming State section, there are people in that section that can help out with the Wyolink programming.
