Running SDR trunk on Windows under now playing it shows a channel of power and peak but I'm not sure how to read that as far as having my antenna set perfect
Even something like a 6 element Yagi has 40º of beamwidth. Just point it towards South Bend. It isn't super critical for what you are doing.
"Perfect" isn't necessarily best. You want enough useable signal that you get a clean decode. Too much signal, or too much noise from other nearby transmitters can make things worse.
What is the antenna connected to? Why did you choose a yaqi over a different scanner antenna? Is everything that you want to listen to all in the same direction from your house?
