Uniden Australia has a online manual of the UBC144xlt, it looks very similar to the bc142xlt except it's a 16 channel unit.I would guess much of the programing instructions is the same as your scanner. You can find it at this link. http://www.uniden.com.au/RESOURCES_MAIN/pdfs/UBC144XLT.PDF
