I need some help figuring out what antenna is going to work best for me at home and on the go , I live in a double wide trailer so a metal box and I'm located in Lincoln county MT. Our county is very spread out in between mountains. I have a x36hp with the stock rubber duck its not working I can't get reception bars driving down the road let alone in my house. I need a portable antenna as I'm in and out with the scanner.... i really want to be able to hear crystal clear everytime , thanks I appreciate the help.

You could slap a 150 MHz 5/8 wave mag-mount on the roof for cheap. If you need longer coax, get a barrel connector with more coax and tape it up.
