I am looking to set up my scanner for the Nevada Shared Radio System. I would be traveling on I-15 from Utah to Las Vegas. I would also need the towers on I-80 from Utah to Reno/ Sparks and Hwy 93 from Wendover to Ibapah, Utah. My question is I have been looking in the RRdb at the locations of the towers and typing in the Lat/Long into a mapper. some of the Lat/Long cordinance are different form the ones listed on the FCC licence. I type in the ones that the FCC licence shows and it is not even close to the ones that the RRdb shows. For example, Tower 007 (7) South Lake Tahoe. The RRdb shows cord. N 38.94250 W 119.93694 which shows correct to the address posted on the licence. However, the FCC for the same licence shows cord. N 38.56330 W 119.56130 which when you pull it up does not even show close to the address or the location that RR shows.
My question is does anyone have a TRUE cordanance for the towers so I can find the towers I would like to program into my scanner for those areas that are audiable from I-15, I-80 and 1/2 NV 93alt without having to program ALL the towers.
